If you happen through downtown Belleville on any beautiful Monday evening June through September, you will find Main Street closed between Third and Fifth Streets while the street is lined with people and cars. A couple hundred cars…muscle cars, classic cars, hot rods, customs, and more. The event is Cruisin’ on the Bayou, sponsored by the Bayou Grill, a tasty Cajun restaurant and bar in downtown Belleville. The car show runs weekly between 6 and 9 PM and is free to both visitors and car owner participants. There are food and drink specials, raffles and a DJ filling the streets with upbeat tunes. Even if you are not typically a car buff, it is a family friendly evening out of the house to stroll while enjoying some summer weather, music, people, and sights in our awesome downtown.
