Victory Park

Victory Park was established in 1919 by a group of residents who raised money to purchase the triangular plot of land at Five Points to create a park.  This park was given its name in dedication to the men of WWI.

Victory Station was added in 1925 by Wayne County when they built several such stations in the area at the time as a rest stop for travelers seeking water and restrooms.  The comfort station still provides restrooms for park visitors and the building can also be rented through the City of Belleville at a reasonable cost for parties and meetings.

The gazebo located at the center of the park is a popular backdrop for weddings.  Through the years it has also served as a stage for Music In The Park, visits with the Easter Bunny and other community gatherings.

The current play structures were installed by the DDA in 2007 to replace aging and outdated equipment.  The park sees fairly steady visitation by families throughout the summer months and is a very popular after school destination for elementary kids and their parents.

A Little Free Library was added to the park by the Rotary Club in 2015.
