Van Buren Public Schools is a district of about 4,800 students. While the majority of these students reside within The City of Belleville, Van Buren Township, and Sumpter Township, the school boundaries do not follow the boundaries of the 48111 zip code nor the boundaries of these municipalities. The district does extend into portions of Canton Township and Ypsilanti. It is also a school of choice.
